Mission Statement

The mission of the St. Louis Flute Society is to provide our members with events that showcase the flute in quality musical programs and address other integral aspects of flute playing and musicianship.

Our Goals and Objectives

• Provide events which cater to the needs of a diverse audience (one including all ages and levels of flutists, be they students, amateur, or professional player and teacher.
• Offer our members a view of many different styles of flute music including classical, jazz and non-western music.
• Provide flute students of all age's programs that educate and enrich their knowledge of the flute, its performance, and its repertoire.
• Create exciting performance opportunities for aspiring flute students, amateur flutists and professional flutists.
• Develop musicianship and performance skills among young flutists through a Youth Flute Choir composed of elementary through high school age members.
